::: Puscifer :::

Maynard James Keenan has been actively maintaining his Puscifer ‘product line’ for quite a while now. If you haven’t checked it out, what are you waiting for?

Music tagged from the band ‘Puscifer’ has been showing up on various soundtracks (such as the Underworld soundtrack) and websites for quite a while now. It was mostly a pseudonym over anything else.

As side projects go, this one is less conventional than others. Puscifer as it stands in 2007 is really a line of products more than anything else:

T-Shirts

Hoodies

Other?

The concept of Puscifer as it stands now is ingenious. Most people who follow Tool have a tendency to follow MJK as the enigmatic front-man seems to be able to do no wrong when it comes to powerful, luring, and hard-to-categorize industrial rock. Whether it is with Tool, A Perfect Circle, his work on Puscifer, or his various cameos with Deftones, Rage Against the Machines, Alice in Chains (in the name of charity), or even Tori Amos (again in the name of charity), he seems to be an unstoppable force of dark, moody, and bewitching music.

Puscifer takes that, packages it into an appealing product for the masses, and let you wear a badge that is ‘approved’ by the man himself; something many will be drawn to.

Puscifer constantly has new and different products (pens, belt buckles, posters) and lures people back with the (hopefully soon to be delivered) promise of new experimental music and remixes.

As for myself, I’ll probably stick to the music, but I always do love a good stigmata joke.
